So Glad That's Over

I had my D&C this morning. The doctor was about 45 minutes late - that really sucked waiting. But, at least I had Dave there to keep me company and laughing.

The surgery went well. The recovery room, no so much. They didn't have a problem waking me up initially, but I kept passing out. My blood pressure dropped and they had to give me meds for that. Once they kicked in and my blood pressure stabilized, I was able to stay awake and started to feel much better. I had some pain, but I haven't had any since right after waking up. I feel really good. A tad tired, but honestly, I feel great. The doctor said everything looked great, but he will get the final pathology in two weeks.

No reason I can't drive to Coldplay tomorrow. No reason I can't dance around like an idiot. I plan to do both :) I'm so very VERY excited!!!!!!

How Does This Happen?

I was going over my schedule for the next week and it's utterly insane!!!! Today I have to work, then quickly get my blood drawn for my surgery next week and be at The Pot by 4pm. I'm dressed for The Pot now just in case I'm running late and I will have all my stuff in the car.

Tomorrow morning is a mandatory server meeting at work. Dave will have to take Zack to soccer by himself. Dave and I have planned a date for tomorrow night :) Sunday, I'm working, blah.

Monday, the kids have dental appointments in the afternoon.

Tuesday, I have an appt with Karen and Alex has group at 5pm.

Thursday is my surgery.

Friday is the Coldplay concert.

Saturday I'm working.

Oy vey!!!!!

I think I will volunteer to go home on Sunday if they are letting people go. I'll try to pick up on Wednesday night instead, or I'll just work one day next week - it won't kill me.

Alex's trumpet lessons are going well, though he still sounds the same. We rented a trumpet for him but I think if he likes it and wants to keep it up, we might just find a cheap one on ebay for him. I doubt the one that my parents have is going to work very well.

Zack is obsessed with the movie Time Bandits - so cute. He's really loving soccer. He still wakes up every day and asks "Is it time for soccer?".

Cassie is going to Homecoming next weekend. Of course, on the day I'm working. I will have Dave take some pictures.

Alright, off to get some coffee and something for lunch since I'll be running around like crazy this afternoon.

No Worries...

I'm fine, sorry I haven't updated in a while. Things have been busy, of course. David is talking about going down to Mississippi to help out with the relief efforts some time in October. I'm trying to prepare for that financially and emotionally. Having the kids alone for 10 days will be a lot of work. David helps out a lot. I'm really proud of him for wanting to do this.

My friend who was going to see Coldplay with me cancelled today. I think I have found someone else to go with me, but I'm still bummed that it won't be Jessica.

My parents are in Germany visiting my brother. I really miss him. I don't talk to him nearly as much as I should. It's partly my fault. I should e-mail him more regularly. I really have no excuse for not doing it.

Zack's really become a handful lately. He's got such attitude. We really need to crack down on that boy. Of course, he's totally adorable too. Little stinker.

Alex has started playing trumpet. So far, so good. I'm not insane yet.

TGIF

I'm ready for the weekend again. I have to work at The Pot tonight, but after that, I'm free all weekend.

We got Zack signed up to play soccer on Saturday mornings. It's going to be SO cute, I can't wait. We asked Alex if he wanted to play too, but he said no. He's going to be playing trumpet in band though and is very excited about that.

I took the kids to get pictures taken yesterday. Unfortunately, Sears doesn't have the pictures up on their website yet. They are great pictures. I found a coupon in the trash there for $9.99 for a package. So, for $10.49 I got 1 8x10, 2 5x7, and soemthing like 24 wallets. I'm psyched. The boys were borderline hellish, but it didn't help that the service there was slow as molassas. Took us over an hour. But hey, again, it only cost me $10.49.

3 weeks until Coldplay :) 21 days. I can make it!

I'm feeling great now. The meds are kicking in and I'm starting to feel like myself again. I never realized exactly how low I'd gotten until now. Amazing.

I KNOW I'm feeling better because even a phone call from Susan last weekend didn't phase me. That's right, folks. The stupid bitch finally called her children after 14 months of no contact. Nice, huh? Gosh, how HONORED they should be that she took time out of her busy schedule to finally call. Alex didn't even want to talk to her. Serves her right. Idiot.

My Long Weekend

Consisted of my playing video games all weekend. Is that cool or geeky? I don't care, I was happy and that's all that really matters right now, right?

My boy

Is the cutest thing on earth. I tell you, he makes me laugh every day. He's the sweetest thing. I told Dave my foot hurt and Zack said "you want me to make it better?" and then he gave me a big hug. How sweet is that? He speaks so well, too. Sometimes I will ask him questions just to hear him talk, even if I'm repeating what I just asked him. He goes to scare us with his little skeleton mask and if we act scared at all, he will rip it off and very concerned say "It's me, Zackwy" to ease our minds. Sigh..I love that kid so much :)

An update on me: I went to see my family doctor on Thursday. I just couldn't take the ups and downs anymore. She asked me a ton of questions and I explained everything as best as I could. She gave me a prescription for anti-depressants, which I started yesterday.

I really hope this works.
